It all started when...

Founder, Brian David Henderson began investigating the growing threat of resistant infections after completing a M.Sc in Biomedical Diagnostics at Dublin City University. After spending time in both the Biomedical Diagnostics Institute (BDI) within DCU and the Biodesign Institute,  Centre for Personalised Diagnostics at Arizona State University he realised that although there was incredibly sophisticated diagnostic technology within the academic world, there was little advantage being seen in the real world of hospitals and GP's.

The knowledge he had gained from working with experts in the field of Centrifugal Microfluidics and Point of Care Diagnostics proved invaluable as it became the foundation of what would go on to become the Prometheus Platform. Shortly after beginning a PhD in Dublin Institute of Technology he had the opportunity to take part in the inaugural I-Cubed Programme. This programme provided the resources and mentorship required to take  the technology from paper to prototype. With proof of concept came the responsibility to ensure this technology can reach those who can benefit the most from its implementation.

A mission which which will remain at the heart of this company from Startup to World Leader.
